Flashing the light on, she peered down at the license she was holding for a moment before raising an eyebrow and staring down at the woman who merely smiled at her.
“Kuvira, huh?” she started, giving her a glance. “So you’re the one that my sister is always complaining about.”
“You’re Suyin’s older sister,” Kuvira said, leaning her head out of the window with a smirk. “Lin Beifong…I have heard so many things about you.” She uttered.
“Good things, I hope,” Lin replied.
“If by good, you mean how she always says that you have a stick far up in your ass?” Kuvira chuckled.
“That’s her all right,” Lin said, pursing her lips together. “Now I have an important question to ask you.” She said, shining the light on Kuvira’s face.
“Ask away, ma’am,” she said, not phase at the bright light shining right in her face.
“Have you been drinking tonight, Miss Kuvira?” she asked.
“Please, just call me Kuvira,” she answered her. “And why, are you offering to buy me one?”
“What?” Lin said with a startled expression, darting her eyes around for a moment. “I’m—maybe some other time.” She murmured, coughing into her hand and tried to hide her blushing cheeks before handing her license back.
“When?” Kuvira asked, reaching out and taking her license back.
“Excuse me?” Lin said, shooting her head up.
“I said,” Kuvira repeated, “Some other time when, officer?”
